Japanese Scientists Invent Underpants that Burns Calories

Japan’s done it again. The Shibuya-based Goldwin has put out a pair of underpants called the MXP Calorie Shaper Pants that helps you to burn extra calories while you move around. The high-tech undies are based on a skin-tight resin material that puts an extra burden on your leg muscles as you stretch and move around.

In fact, the company’s scientists say that a man who spends 90 minutes walking can burn an extra 210 calories a week by wearing these special underpants–sufficient enough to burn off half a liter (500ml) of beer. Women on the other hand will receive slightly less of a benefit from the underpants, burning off only 350ml.

The MXP Calorie Shaper Pants is available at a reasonable 2,940 Yen.
