Without a doubt, cats always look silly in costume. Photographer Alex Baranda captured the spirit of every season and holiday by dressing up a variety of cats in a variety of holiday-themed hats for a Blurb book called Holiday Cats. Here’s a selection of the silly cats.
Dogs look their derpiest (yes, that’s now a word) when they’re shaking themselves, either from running or to get the water off their furry backs. Their mouths, ears and sagging faces flail around like a clothesline in a tornado, giving them a very silly impression.
Dogs and lobsters. These two things don’t actually go together. One goes on a leash, the other’s better served on a plate with butter. Be that as it may, dressing these dogs up as red lobsters makes them even cuter than they already are.
Poodles, terriers and other dogs of the miniature variety are simply cute to watch, as they scamper around on tiny little legs and short bodies. They’re cuter still when they’re in the process of leap-running—which must feel like flying when you’re that small.
