Pareidolia – psychological phenomenon involving a stimulus (an image or a sound) which is perceived as significant. Interesting concept, right? But furthermore, pareidolia is the visual form of apophenia, which is the perception of patterns within random data. Like when you see a Jesus face or mashed potatoes in a cloud in the sky, get it? Anyway, our brains are messing with us big time. And perception issue or not, these things are really similar to one another and they’re funny to see.
