The riots in London have been among the worst in recent history. Even with over 16,000 police officers deployed, rioters were out in force, looting stores and torching local businesses in utter defiance of the law. Some of the most eye-catching images were taken at the scenes by brave journalists and photographers who dared to walk the streets at night, despite muggings.
