Many popular films’ original cast did not include some of the actors and actresses well known for that role in the film today. Here are what movie posters would look like if they followed their original casting.

    Love it, while I don't think I'd ever want to see it, the concept of OJ as the Terminator is so spot on, it's not fair. I also read somewhere that Micahel Beihn was supposed to be the Terminator. Tom Hanks would have turned Jerry Maguire into an entirely different film… would we really have had to see a love scene with Renee Zellweger and Tom Hanks? Yeesh!

    yeah right… OJ Simpson as Terminater and George Clooney as Hancock; thats ridiculous. Brokeback Mountain sounds cool with them two guys but Face Off would have been terrible with the 2 meatheads Arnold and Stallone; thats frickin crazy. David Bowie should stick to singing and Kevin Kline would probably fit the role of Hook. The rest is nuts, keep it up!

    As far as actors who actually were cast, not just auditioned for a fil, Nicholas Cage was cast as Superman, with Tim Burton as director for what eventually became “Superman Returns” with a different actor and director. And a film that never got made but was cast was “Sgt. Rock” based on the DC comic. Arnold Schwarzenegger was to have starred as the American G.I. who fought the Nazis in WWII.

    Will Smith is far removed from his Fresh Prince days so stop living in the past. By 1998 around the time the Matrix was made Smith was already a far better and more versatile actor than Reeves. If you weigh their careers side by side by virtue of the roles they’ve played and quality of their performances you’ll see Smith is a superior character actor to Reeves. Examine Smith’s roles in I Am Legend, Ali, Seven Pounds, Six Degrees of Separation to name a few and you’ll see he outperforms any of the roles Reeves has ever played in his entire career. I have full confidence Smith would have been capable of playing a better Neo than Reeves (with the exception of maybe the clueless, airhead parts lol).

    Keanu Reeves has the characteristics to be Neo, Neo I think it looks better as a man who has a strong appearance, which plays an important role as matrix is a world where everything is possible for anyone

    Actually the orignal casting was supposed to Chow Yun-Fat as Morpheus, Michelle Yeoh as Trinity, and Jet Li as Neo. I think it was according to Hong Kong Action movies by Bey Logan, not absolutely sure. The reason why it didn’t happen was because the three were making $13 million each a picture and the salaries for the three actors playing the characters had already been decided and couldn’t be raised.

    Personally I think Mark Dacoscas would have made a much better Neo: he wouldn’t have needed any martial arts training, has the same sex appeal that Keanu Reaves has, and unlike Mr. Reaves, Dascascos has some charisma and acting ability. The only thing Keanu Reeves had going for him in my opinion were his looks and his name.

    80′s pop singer Corey Hart was Spielberg’s first choice for the role of Marty McFly, but he passed on it. Eric Stoltz being considered doesn’t seem far fetched at all.

    Actually Chow Yun-Fat was the first choice for Morpheus, according to Hong Kong Action movies by Bey Logan although, I wouldn’t doubt that Samuel L. Jackson was on the list too.

    Yes, I find someone that corroborates what I said earlier about Chow Yun-Fat, Michelle Yeoh, and Jet Li as being the original choices for the Matrix. Chow Yun-Fat was suppposed to be Morpheus, Michelle Yeoh was supposed to be Trinity, naturally, and Jet Li for the role of Neo.
