Thanks for your deep and insightful comment. The fact that you (an unidentified/human) have plumbed the depths of our unlimited language to project such an exemplary and ornately descriptive critique of my humble remarks demonstrates beyond any and all attempts to conceal your true identity the most revealing elements of your uber-cranial abilities. Thank you so very much for taking an exact quantity of time from your life's span to so succinctly redress my thinly veiled and almost transparent praise of such and important artistic genius who will no doubt someday evolve beyond cheap jibes and produce a meaningful body of work which portrays some significant events in the history of human kind, or other…

Orbmanelson is stupid was out of line.

Your skills with the english language certainly show no mental deficiency.

    That said,

    You're a tool.

    one paragraph (tl;dr) later…
    you're still an idiot

  • http://www.focusfinearts.com/ orbmanelson

Wonderful! You think this is great art then head on over to the artist's site and buy a bunch. If this is not a forum for expression of our response to what we are subjected to then it's time to fold up this tent and stick a match to it.

    Regards,

    Le Orb

    (1) If you thought that this was a serious attempt at 'art' in any sense… well, I think you've gone beyond cultural redemption. You seem to mistake art with its trappings (cf. “What a complete <emp> waste of paint, canvas </emp> and time. There is little true talent or insight here.”).

The fact that you are so riled up over anything approaching a tongue-in-cheek critique of American 21st century mass politics, suggests to the casual reader (I, Billo the Clown) that you might subconsciously see yourself within these paintings. And being the less than magnanimous person that you are, YOU GO BATSHIT INSANE over the waste of paint.

    (2) Very well–everyone has the right to voice their opinions in a relatively humane way online. However, yours just so happen to sound pretentious and faggy, and so we reserve the right to point this out. I am sure someone will point out the fact that BTC used a few 2$ words in this post, and call me a pric… but the truth is, I am. :D

  • freudd

    humble?

  • orbmanelson

Oh, I be not the least bit riled up. This was merely an off the cuff observation as I was passing through, and it seems as though you take my comments to be literal regarding quantities of paint etc. Art is subjective and my opinion is just that and nothing more. I have not called anyone, anything ((negative moniker)(s)) nor do I intend to. I certainly do not see myself in these paintings as there is not even the most remote resemblance to my person or my existence to reflect such a concept. If you feel that I was/am pretentious simply because I express my thoughts in a descriptive and forthright manner than who am I to argue with you. I must say that your blatantly negative remarks regarding my supposed personal characteristics run far afield from the actual nugget of my essence as is possible, but all this ends up going elsewhere to no particular end.

Paint whatever you wish, just remember that when you put something out there on the interwebs that it is subject to a whole world of opinions and mine matters not too much. One thing I have learned regarding artistic criticism is that no matter what one creates it will be valued across the spectrum by many different eyes and therefore may or may not always fit into a sweet spot for “all” people no matter what the subject matter.

    Be well and prosper,

    Le Orb

I like the unicorns, but who is this Obama person that everyone is talking about?

  • Druckles

You believe that because you can construct a supremely long sentence while using words one feels only the highest and cleverest of people use you are superior to another individual?

Quite the contrary. That makes you an idiot.

Sure, the reply may not have been exactly intelligent in content, but it wasn't much less helpful than yours. At least his had a point. Your comment, on the other hand, is supremely closed minded and evident that you think far too much of yourself.

Next I suggest you learn the difference between criticism, useful by definition, and making your blinkered, self-absorbed, narrow opinion heard.

  • rc3

Good gawd…..I have never been so very sorry to have hit that stumble button. What incredibly idiot images. Just a vain attempt to draw attention to lack of ability on the particular 'artist's' ( I use the term so incredibly loosely) part to draw more attention. Boring.

  • rc3

I might also add that I have never before blocked a website. Grats on wildammo being the first one I do!

I really like these. I don't think they are offensive or racist. They seem joyful and filled with creative expression. I also think that artist could be an avid Obama supporter.

    Great work!

Wow, I now hate you even more than the other comments orbmanelson.

  • orbmanelson

Golly, you really taking the time and energy to HATE someone over this nonsense. Dude, take a few chill pills and relax. It is not worth the internal physical pain you are causing yourself. I don't hate you or anyone else for that matter. It's just a topic and nothing more. I am attempting to use some humor to lighten it up a bit. Have a laugh and move on to something worth while, like do something fun eh.

    No worries, enjoy the evening.

These are very interesting, I have to say they look great. Plus you can only expect strange paintings from Dan Lacey the Painter of pancakes. He has awesome paintings of celebrities with Pancakes.

My only question is: how did the artist to convince Barack, Michelle, Hugh, and Josef to pose for these paintings?

  • http://doctorpsycho1960.blogspot.com doctorpsycho1960

So, Barack Obama the evil Socialist and a unicorn walk into a bar. But nothing happens, because neither of them exist….

These might be interesting if the artist had any talent. Jesus… I've seen better art in grade school.
And the content just points out the artist's simple-mindedness, as well. Try having a complicated thought once in a while…

Those here who are mindlessly (and hysterically) defending this crap need to grow up…

hmmm, homo-erotic? I doubt that, but I just learned something about you. Some people can look at the human body without getting turned on. Takes all kinds, I suppose…
